Bike Racks and Benches For Spokane Neighborhoods Competition.
Spokane Arts Commission is seeking artists to design bike racks
and benches for neighborhoods throughout Spokane. Currently,
the Garland Business District has funding for bike racks. Designs
will be kept on file for other neighborhood and community groups
to use as money becomes available.
This competition is open to any artist, designer, architect, engineer,
landscape architect, planner, or fabricator within the Inland Northwest
Region. Depending on the designer’s experience, the City of Spokane
may contract with a fabricator to fabricate your design.
The City may create more than one rack from each design. Bike
racks will be installed by a licensed contractor. Up to six designs
for bike racks and up to six designs for benches may be submitted.
