Gene`s BMX News -- 02/05/2007
Still no word about if there is a "Admission Fee$" for
the public at the Trac Arena. Alot of people are asking
questions about if there is or is not? Gene`s BMX has
sent a few e-mails and phone calls to the ABA BMX
and the Trac Arena since Nov 2006 but still NO reply
e-mails or return phone calls back letting us know anything.

If anyone knows anything about "Admission Fee$",
please let us know.

Some Chit Chat Talk In The BMX GrapeVine:
A few people have quoted that since year 2007 is
"NOT" a Pro Race Event at Pasco, That they are
thinking of not going to the event becouse of this.

Some are saying: "Why go if you can`t meet a Pro" and
some people have mixed feelings on rather to go or not
to go. - Its a decision maker for you.

In some other news that buts in to the Pasco Great
Northwest Nationals event, The Seattle International
Bicycle Expo in Seattle, Wa March 10th - 11th, 2007
at the Warren G. Magnuson Park, this is a complete
celebration of Bicycling - with presentations from all
aspects of the bicycling sport and the bike Industry.

With the Schedules of the two big bicycling events in
Washington state, The NW, landing on the same weekend,
- It is a big decision maker on what event to go to.

Are we feeling like Harry Houdini?
do you think you can be in two places at once?

As said in last post,

The Trac Arena web site shows March 9th - 11th 2007
that the Tri-Cities Antique Show will be at the Trac Arena.
The Antique Show at the Trac Arena online flyer:
$6.00 Adults 9 & up FREE for children 8 & under
Admission is good for all 3 days | FREE Parking

But as of this post, The Trac Arena web site does NOT show
or list anything about the 2007 ABA Great Northwest Nationals.
It makes you wonder whats up here since the Trac Arena don`t
even know or list anything about the ABA BMX event. Hmmm!

Thanks for the reply Randy,

I called the Trac Arena today and talked with a Mr. Woody?
he quoted that they did not even know of the bmx event
happing this year. He said he would call me back if he
found out anything more. By the way he was talking, It
sounded like the Antique Show was to be in the arena
where the bmx track is every year.

Im shore they will get it all figgerd out some how as We hope so.
As for the "Admission Fee$" thing, who knows, the guy seemed
like he did not even know the time of day.

Im going to "GUESS" that there is no fee :
I hate to be giving out mis-info to people
as it gets alot of people upset. In the past
there has not been any fees. But this year
no official words said about it So it is a
guessing game if it is or if its not..............

So Im going to say, to be safe, "Be Prepared " thats the BoyScout
motto, slogan: - Take a few extra bucks to the Pasco bmx event
Just incase - Better to be safe than unsafe and sorry...................

Hi Ray,
Yes, I got a copy of it. Sad, but it happens.
I do have to agree with the guy somewhat,
The State of Washington passed a RCW law
a few years back so he is in the right about it.

Is all Im going to say is Ounch! for BMX in Pasco,
someone in the BMX community did not do there
school work to well........ Unfortunately BMX Racing
is like a soap opera: You can watch it once, watch
it again and nothing really changes. As I say, Pasco
ABA BMX event is a wast in the first place.

The ABA builds a track for a three day event then they
rip it out. This is the 6th year in Pasco, Thats Six BMX
tracks of wast that could have been put in to six differnt
citys/towns in the NW and left there to help promote the
sport of BMX in all. - Oh well.......................................

Kev,
I got your email - thank you., that is nice. Thats a neat looking bike.

To answer your question, A somewhat yes and a BIG NO! for youth.

The live streaming web feed that they have is set up like a porno
web site. It takes a credit card and lots of money to beable to view
it. And in the USA and Washington State, you have to be 18 years
of age to have a credit card. So anyone under the age of 18 does
not get to view it. NO, they do NOT show porn, but it is set up that way.

It is sad, but the ABA BMX thinks that they are going to get rich from it.
I guess the ABA`s point is, the sport of BMX on the web is more about
the adults than it is of the youth or they would not lock down there web
site feeds to 18 years old +. Think about it, its just like a porno web site.
A small look at a few watermarked videos and photos and then pay up
if you want to see more and bigger like a live feed. "It keeps the kids-
-youth under 18 locked out" of a sport that was made by the kids/youth.
"How nice of the ABA BMX to lock out its target average youth viewers".

Im shore that the ABA BMX can try and give everyone "Excusses" to
try and get your money like they have to pay for the 2 million dollar
cams they have, But what I just said is a FACT! it makes BMX more
for the adults than it does for the youth. -- I say: Show me other wize..

So,
If your 18 years old or older and you have a credit card and
you have the money, you get to watch the live streaming feed.
BUT -- If your UNDER 18 years old your just S.O.L.

Kev I hate to say this "your just S.O.L." But join the club I don`t
have the money and alot of others don`t have the money eather.
So don`t feel to bad.......

Anyone have any pitchers from Pasco yet?

It is Saturday night and no pitchers from Pasco on the internet.

With free wifi internet at the TRAC you would
think some pitchers would have been seen by now.

Gene`s BMX Report - 2007 Northwest Nationals Pasco, Wa.

*** Gene`s BMX Report - 2007 Northwest Nationals Pasco, Wa. ***

Gene`s BMX News -- 03/11/2007
We did not go to Pasco this year for a number of reasons. One,
the pocket book is low of cash, that keeps us from doing much.
And Two, Due to lack of information by the ABA BMX it realy
makes you think twice about going to the Pasco event.

Alot of people looked to Gene`s BMX with alot of questions about
the 2007 Northwest Nationals. Alot of the questions did not get any
answers due to the lack of event information by the ABA BMX. We
do hope that the people that did go to the Pasco event had lots of fun.
Gene`s BMX is sorry that we could not be at this BMX event this year.
Maybe others will be nice and share some photos and reports with us.

Gene`s BMX hopes that we can go to the Pasco event next year 08.
Till then, Keep the rubber side down and ride that BMX bike hard.
